Regular, full-time employees who work more than 32 hours per week are eligible for ISB’s benefit plans on the 1st of the month following hire. Eligible dependents (spouse, child, domestic partner) may also be covered on the medical, dental, and vision plans. Benefits may change at any time.
ISB provides employees a comprehensive medical insurance plan through Premera Blue Cross. The PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) network offers participants access to a wide range of practitioners/specialists.

- Coverage for physical therapy, chiropractic care, naturopathic doctors

- Pharmacy benefit ($15 generic/$35 brand formulary/$70 brand non-formulary)
ISB’s dental plan provides coverage for preventive, basic and major restorative work through Delta Dental of Washington. If you use preferred dentists, there is no annual deductible. Covered benefits are paid at 100% on preventive, 90% on basic, and 60% on major restorative work, based on usual and customary charges.
ISB provides vision coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP). The plan provides for an annual exam ($25 deductible) and lens replacement. A benefit of up to $130 every 24 months is available towards the purchase of eyeglass frames. For an additional $50 deductible, participants can receive a year’s worth of contact lenses.
ISB offers a generous 403(b) retirement plan with a wide variety of fund options available. ISB contributes 3% of an employee’s pay, and will match up to 5% of the employee’s contribution. All funds are immediately vested and there is no waiting period to enroll.
Paid Time Off
ISB offers generous paid time off including vacation time starting at a minimum three weeks per year, 12 sick days per year, and 10 paid holidays per year.
Flexible Spending Plan
ISB employees may elect to participate in our Flexible Benefit Plan (also known as a Section 125 Plan). This plan enables employees to pay for out-of-pocket health care and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. Employees may contribute $2550 annually to the health care account and $5000 (per family) to the dependent care account.
ISB pays the cost of a life and accidental death/dismemberment policy for the employee with a benefit amount of 1x the employee’s annual salary. Employees may purchase additional coverage for themselves, spouses, and/or children.
Short and Long Term Disability
ISB pays the cost of short and long-term disability benefits for eligible employees. Short term disability provides 60% of a claimant’s weekly income for up to 11 weeks after a 14 day elimination period. Long term disability provides 60% of a claimant’s monthly income after a 90 day elimination period; the duration and amount of the LTD benefit varies depending on age and other factors.
