Sissy Bouchard, was named vice president for development in July 2011. She leads the Institute’s philanthropy and communications staffs and programs. Dr. Bouchard serves as a member of the senior management team and an ISB officer.
Prior to joining ISB, Sissy worked in Advancement at the University of Washington. She drove engagement strategies for leadership gifts in collaboration with the president and provost as associate director of principal giving from 2006-2011. Bouchard also coordinated key donor cultivation and stewardship efforts with development colleagues and deans located throughout the UW. She previously served as director of development at the University's Foster School of Business from 2003-2006.
With the exception of four years as an executive recruiter, her career has been focused in higher-education administration, including tenures at University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire; Harlaxton College-Grantham, England; Indiana University; and Adrian College, Michigan.
Bouchard received a bachelor's degree in public and environmental affairs, a master's degree in college student personnel, and a doctorate degree in higher education administration -- all from Indiana University, Bloomington. She has also completed the Executive Management Program at the University of Washington’s Foster School.
