Description:
"Community Leadership: Advocate, Resource and Partner in Advancing STEM Education." Hear a distinguished panel speak to the importance of how
members of the scientific community can serve as advocates and partners in the advancement of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
education. Panelists include: Dr. Mary Alice Heuschel, superintendent of the Renton School District; Dr. George D. "Pinky" Nelson,
director of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education and associate professor of Physics and Astronomy at Western Washington
University; and Dr. Leroy Hood, co-founder and president of the Institute for Systems Biology. This event is $20 per person which
includes appetizers and beverages.
