Featured Scientist
Dr. Tim Galitski
Faculty Member and Scientist
Ph.D., Biology
Dr. Galitski uses the tools of systems biology to better understand how molecules within cells obtain, process and transmit information that determines how organisms respond, at the cellular level, to changing environmental conditions. Yeast cells, for example, can "sense" a hard surface and change their structure to break through barriers. Understanding the cascade of biological activity that takes place between the cell first "sensing" the hard surface and the cell breaking through the barrier is critical to the future development of P4 Medicine..
