Senior Research Scientist
Degree
Ph.D., Cellular and Molecular Biology, State University of New York at Buffalo, RPCI, 1985
Research Interests
Dr. Qin has participated in a variety of genomic enterprises including the Human Genome Project, mapping disease genes, mapping the entire human chromosome 11 with a YAC library he constructed, mapping, sequencing and analysis of the human and mouse MHC region, construction of a bear cDNA library for large-scale gene expression screen using a cDNA probe microarray developed based on the library, construction of Xenopus tropicalis BAC library and contributed to the tropicalis genome project. Currently, Dr. Qin is interested in proteomics SRM technology and its application in predictive, preventative and diagnostic medicine
