ISB's Senior Research Scientists are pillars of the Institute. They are leaders in the development and execution of cutting edge and longrange research activities. They frequently serve as principal or co-principal investigators on funded research proposals, in association with Faculty Groups. Along with conducting their own research, they train postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and technical personnel. As professional staff, the Senior Scientists nurture the intellectual life of the institute by facilitating cross-disciplinary interactions and learning, by taking responsibility for project management, and by providing stability, continuity, and a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Just as the Faculty does, the Senior Research Scientists collectively embody a breadth and depth of cross-disciplinary expertise that enables and enlivens our systems biology research.
